Task 3 - Post - Modern Art Presentation
Group presentation of Post-Modern issues and artworks.
In Groups of 3-6 each choose an artwork by a separate postmodern artist and discuss how one (or more) of the following issues (3.1-3.5) is represented in their work. Try to choose artists and artworks that you find challenging or controversial in some way.

Evaluate principles of effective communication. Order and format your presentation. Consider how you will introduce, ask questions and conclude your presentation.

3.1 The Avant-garde, Originality & Appropriation

3.2 Gender & Sexuality & The Body
Feminism. Gay rights. Taboo expressions

3.3 Cultural Identity & Nationality
Cultural origins. Indigenous cultures, Globalization

3.4 Class, Economics and Politics
Marxism. Political models. National wealth

3.5 Environment & Material Consumption
Ignorance, Complicity, Apathy

Submission details:  Each Individual presenting information about one artwork to the group. An ordered digital display to the class (Power Point, Word or Blog). Present your assessment on a memory stick or web link. Laptop and data projector provided.
5 minute presentation per person.
5 minute open forum & discussion and evaluation of presentation per person.
Actively engage in an open forum for presentations.
